Flux Liverpool: Festival Director
I am working with the Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium (LARC) and a range of local partners to plan, manage and deliver an inspirational programme of engagement with young people culminating in July 2014 in the first of a series of biennial International Youth Arts and Cultural Festivals in Liverpool.
A pioneering arts festival engineered by young people.
17 July - 2 August 2014
Set within Liverpool’s world-class arts & culture offer, from 17 July – 2 August 2014 audiences will be invited to discover a range of multi-arts performances and events online and across the city. From literary events, film and music to gaming and visual arts, there will be something for everyone.
Not your usual festival, Flux provides a series of workshops and development programmes beyond the festival dates to nurture creativity and entrepreneurialism in young people. A partnership project with over 30 arts organisations, Flux aims to place young people at the heart of the arts in the city region, acting as a catalyst to increase opportunities and reflect the aspirations of young people aged 14-25 years.
Flux has been developed and produced by Amy Martin & Alex McCorkindale from Bearheart.
